CDM- Making SZABIST Energy Efficient
Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is a process developed under the Kyoto Protocol emphasizing the reductions in carbon emissions. This mechanism allows a country with an emission-reduction commitment under the Kyoto Protocol to implement an emission-reduction project in developing countries.
As a first step towards a larger goal of involving SDRC Study Center in CDM projects
SDRC has initiated the project of making SZABIST Research Center Energy Efficient. Soon the idea of energy conservation is to be spread throughout the SZABIST campuses through presentations, teachers and the students themselves, who would act as energy efficiency leaders.
The thought behind this entire project is to declare SZABIST as the first Energy Efficient Academic Institute.
